The University of Sheffield held a unique concert in April, which brought together international musicians who now live in Sheffield.

The concert, "Sharing Music - Sharing Lives" featured twenty-five artists from Africa, China and Chechnya. They each performed a range of different music pieces and shared their own. The artists who performed included:

Mim Suleiman, a singer from Zanzibar, Republic of Tanzania,
Zeela, a women's choir from Liberia,
Levan Khazbulatov, a classical pianist from Chechnya,
Li Wenping, who performed traditional Chinese opera,
African drum and dance ensemble Khula Arts.

Each had their own unique style of performance and entertained the audience with their energy and talent.

The evening was a huge success and was attended by many people from all over the world, who now live in Sheffield. It was an excellent opportunity to hear a wide range of music and to meet new and fascinating people.
