Students more satisfied than ever before

Overall student satisfaction is higher than ever before, according to the results of the 2008 National Student Survey (NSS).

The University of Sheffield is among the top twenty Higher Education institutions in the UK for most-satisfied students. The University of Sheffield scored 89 per cent.

The NSS asks mostly final year undergraduate students to provide feedback on their courses. The questions asked relate to the following areas:

• teaching on my course
• assessment and feedback
• academic support
• organisation and management
• learning resources
• personal development
• overall satisfaction
