New International Students' Officer elected
Sheffield students voted last week for next year's Students' Union leaders, including the new International Students' Officer. Sajeev Jeganathan from Sri Lanka will take up his new full-time position in July.
The International Student Officer is a paid sabbatical post to represent the needs and views of current international students. He will work with the other elected student representatives to run the Students' Union on behalf of the student community, ensure that student interests are represented effectively and that there is something on offer for everyone in the Students' Union.
Sajeev works as a student ambassador for Sri Lanka in the University's International office.
