Easa does it for BibCOM

Easa Taheri, a Sheffield businessman whose 3G mobile company BiBCOM is based at the Kroto Innovation Centre at the University of Sheffield, has secured a licensing deal with a Chinese electronics giant.

Iranian-born Easa, managing director of award-winning Sheffield company BiBCOM, looks set to take the world by storm with his groundbreaking use of 3G mobile technology. His latest project, Guardian Systems, has been created to provide a vital link between the elderly or disabled and their carers.

Easa has landed a licensing deal with Chinese electronics giant JiuZhou, with an initial potential for making BiBCOM £1 million.

And now countries as far afield as the USA, Spain, Mexico, Israel and Latvia are expressing a keen interest in signing up with BiBCOM, which is based in the Kroto Innovation Centre at the University of Sheffield's North Campus.

Easa said, "The problem with 3G technology, the mobile telephone network coverage system that incorporates a video calling facility, is that although it was a great idea, nobody really knew what to do with it.

"At BiBCOM we took that technology and found a practical application, one which can bring peace of mind to a growing sector of every community."

The Guardian System uses a camera unit and a push button alarm that works with mobile phone anywhere there is 3G network coverage.
