Sonal's Web Diary
I have had a wonderful week of holiday.
On Monday I went to Castleton which about 20 miles from Sheffield in the Peak District. After walking around the town and having a lovely pub lunch we decided to go hiking. We walked for about an hour and a half around the mountainside. While tiring, the walk was enjoyable the few minutes we spent at a small flat looking down around the peaks was very well worth the hike up. The actual trail continued for many more miles, but as we were tired and the sun was due to set in the next hour, we decided to head back down to the town.
We also went to McArthur Glen which is an outlet shopping mall based in York. Approximately an hour away by both train and car the outlet mall truly was amazing. If you are looking for discounted brand name items such as Monsoon, Ted Baker, Armani, The Body Shop, Coast, Hugo Boss, Nike, Adidas, M&S and the list goes on, this is the place for you. There is also a small area upstairs with food and throughout the mall different coffee shops such as Starbucks and Costa Coffee are scattered around for convenience. If you have been saving up for those nice items I would recommend this mall.
On Thursday we received our examination results from the Medical School. Congratulations to all those who passed. Remember, there are only one more set of exams before we graduate and start our careers as foundation doctors. We are almost there
