International Santander Undergraduate Scholarships 2012
There are two University of Sheffield Santander Undergraduate Scholarships 2012. These scholarships are available for students starting their undergraduate degree in any faculty at the University. Each scholarship will take the form of a £3,000 tuition fee reduction for the first year of study only.
Postgraduate Scholarships eg MA, MSc
The University offers a range of scholarships for Brazilian students who show exceptional academic potential starting a postgraduate taught masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2012.
South America Sheffield Scholarship 2012
We are pleased to offer the South America Sheffield Scholarship 2012 to all South American students starting a Taught Masters programme in September 2012.
The scholarships are:
- £1,000 each for students studying Nanotechnology courses (jointly run with the University of Leeds)
- £1,500 each for students paying fees between £12,160 - £13,990
- £2,000 each for students paying fees of £13,991 and upwards
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
- You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your postgraduate taught masters programme in September 2012.
- You must be a South American national or permanently domiciled in South America.
- You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for fee purposes.
- The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required.
- The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
The University of Sheffield Santander Postgraduate Scholarship 2012 (£5,000)
We are very proud of our association with Santander and their support for University of Sheffield students through their Santander Universidades scheme.
There are five University of Sheffield Santander Postgraduate Scholarships 2012, available for students starting their postgraduate taught masters degree studies in September 2012.
2012 Brazil Management Scholarship
The Management School if pleased to offer one fully funded scholarship valued at the cost of the full programme fee, awarded to applicants from Brazil. This scholarship will be awarded on merit.
The general eligibility requirements are:
- Academic requirements – applicants should have a first or upper second class UK honours degree.
- Allowed study options – applicants should have received a conditional offer from the University to study on one of the full-time MSc programmes.
- Personal criteria – applicants must have the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary to make an excellent contribution to the programme.
- Residency restrictions – applicants must originate from Brazil.
The closing date for this scholarship is 31 May 2012. All students who are eligible for a scholarship and have accepted their offer before the closing date will be automatically considered.
The students to whom a scholarship will be awarded will receive notification before 31 July 2012. The scholarship will only be valid when the student has met all entry requirements for the MSc programme the student has applied for.
Postgraduate research degrees eg PhD, MPhil
The University of Sheffield does not offer research studentships specifically for Brazilian students. There are, however, studentships and funding for which students from Brazil can apply.
