Banan Nawaiseh
Banan graduated from The University of Sheffield in 2010 with an MSc in Information Systems.

I have done my first degree in Computer Engineering which is a purely technical field; actually I was very interested in studying a Masters programme that covers the technical, business and organizational aspects of ICT domain.
However making the decision about which University to study in is really vital and critical, for me the rank of the university was the most significant guide towards making the right decision. The University of Sheffield has an excellent international reputation for high quality teaching and research; currently I´m doing an MSc in Information Systems at the Department of Information Studies which was recently rated at the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) as the top Information Studies Department in the UK.
One of the most exciting things about this programme is that it is offered jointly by the Department of Information Studies and the Department of Computer Science which in fact provides the students with the required theoretical and practical knowledge in IT, business and organizational aspects and builds up student´s skills in keeping up to date with latest developments in the dynamic, fast growing and developing ICT area.
On the other hand you will be amazed at the number and the range of learning services provided by The University of Sheffield which are designed to meet all student´s requirements and needs, in addition to the student´s support services that provide help and support to the University students by offering them information and advice regarding many issues.
Sheffield as a city is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK; it is the "Greenest City" in UK, it has lots of parks and gardens where you can spend your time with your family and friends as I normally do. Sheffield is also a multicultural environment where you can meet people from all over the world and where you can learn a lot about different cultures. Sheffield is also one of the safest cities in the UK which really makes you feel safe wherever you live in the city and when ever you travel by transportation services.
However, not to forget to tell you that The University of Sheffield´s Union of Students is recognised as the best Students´ Union in the country, it provides a weekly entertainment programme along with the Student Advice Centre providing support to students on a variety of problems.
