Entry requirements for students from Nepal

We have been welcoming students from Nepal for many years and our staff are very familiar with the Nepalese education system and qualifications.

High entrance requirements for our degree programmes at Sheffield reflect the quality of the University.

All applicants are required to have an internationally recognised English language qualification such as IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum score that is accepted for entry is IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80. Some departments may require a higher score.

For Entry to Undergraduate Programmes e.g. BSc, BA, BEng/ MEng

A variety of qualifications can be considered for direct admission to undergraduate bachelor degree programmes.

All applications for undergraduate programmes should be made through UCAS.

A Level

Applicants with a minimum of 3 A levels will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.

International Baccalaureate

Applicants with a minimum of 28 points will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.

Bachelor degree

Applicants with a good Bachelor degree from Nepal will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.

Sheffield International College

Sheffield International College provides undergraduate foundation programmes specifically designed for students seeking entry into the University of Sheffield.

For Entry to Postgraduate Taught Programmes e.g. MA, MSc

Applicants with a good Masters degree from a recognised institution in Nepal will be considered for direct admissions to postgraduate diploma or taught Masters programmes.

For Entry to MBA

Applicants with a good Masters degree from a recognised institution in Nepal and least three years' postgraduate-work experience will be considered for direct admission to the MBA.

Sheffield International College provides pre-Masters programmes specifically designed for students seeking entry into the University of Sheffield.
