Scholarships for students from India

The University is pleased to offer a range of scholarships to students from India who show exceptional academic potential and are starting their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2012.

We are pleased to offer scholarships to all international students starting their studies in the Faculties of Engineering, Science, the School of Law and the Management School in September 2012:

We are pleased to offer Management Scholarships to Indian undergraduate students starting their studies in the Management School in September 2012.

The scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each.

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

India Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2012 (£6,500)

There are three India Merit Undergraduate Scholarships, available for Indian students starting their undergraduate degree studies in September 2012.

Each scholarship is worth £6,500 of your undergraduate course tuition fee per year. The scholarships will take the form of a fee reduction.

To be eligible for the India Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2012 (£6,500) applicants must be an Indian national or permanently domiciled in India, apply for a study place by Friday 22 June 2012 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2012.

The India Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2012 are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2012 onwards.

Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.

The deadline for applications is Friday 29 June 2012; scholarship results will be announced Friday July 27 2012.

Postgraduate Scholarships eg MA, MSc

The University offers a range of scholarships for Indian students who show exceptional academic potential starting a postgraduate Taught Masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2012.

India Sheffield Scholarships 2012

We are pleased to offer the India Sheffield Scholarship 2012 to all Indian students starting a Taught Masters programme in September 2012.

India Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2012 (£6,500)

There are four India Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2012, available for Indian students starting their postgraduate taught masters degree studies in September 2012.

Each scholarship is worth £6,500 of your postgraduate taught masters degree tuition fee per year, for one year of study. The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

To be eligible for the India Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2012, applicants must be an Indian national or permanently domiciled in India, apply for a study place by Friday 22 June 2012 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2012.

Postgraduate research degrees eg PhD, MPhil

The University of Sheffield does not offer research studentships specifically for Indian students. There are, however, studentships and funding for which students from India can apply.
