Jobs

Can I get a job? It is possible to get a part time job while studying in Sheffield. The UK government allows international students to work for up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time during holidays. How much will I earn if I get a job?

This will depend on the type of job that you have. From October 2011, the UK minimum wage is £4.98 per hour for people aged 18 - 20 and £6.08 for people who are 22 or older. Careers Service information on working during your studies

Do I have to pay tax?
