Where do I find...
...a printer?Printers can be found in the Business Units on Levels 1 to 6 and in the Quick Print Area on Level 1, near the Information Desk and scanners. Between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, time on the Quick Print PCs is limited to just 20 minutes - allowing you to log on and print your work quickly. Due to the time-limit, you shouldn't have to wait long for one of these PCs to become available - but don't forget you can also print to University printers from your laptop, or even from home. |
...a scanner?There are 5 scanners near the Information Desk on Level 1, one of which will scan A3 documents. They are bookable through MUSE, but if they are available, you can also just log in. Instructions are next to them, but if you need help, just ask at the Information Desk. |
...a photocopier?Photocopiers are located in the Business Units on Levels 1 to 4. |
...a machine to top-up my credit?There is a value loader in the Business Units on Levels 1 - 5. You can also top-up your account online through MUSE. |
...the prayer room?There is a non-denominational prayer and meditation room on Level 4 to the left of the stairs leading to Levels 5 & 6. |
...recycling facilities?There are recycling bins and waste bins on every level of the IC. Red bins are for cans and plastic bottles, grey for litter and green for paper and cardboard. Other recycling facilities can be found elsewhere on campus. |
...the café?The café is situated on Level 0 of the IC and is open throughout the year. See the food and drink link for opening hours and other information. |
...vending machines?The vending machines are located behind the servery in the café. They sell hot and cold drinks as well as snacks. |
...a water fountain?There are water fountains on every level of the IC. They are located next to the toilets. |
...toilets?The toilets can be found behind the lifts on every level. Additional toilets are situated near the Level 1 Information Desk, off the silent study areas on Levels 2 and 3 and off the Flexispace on Level 4. |
...the shower?There is a shower for use by students who cycle, run or walk to work and who wish to freshen up before lectures. It can be found on Level 1 near the Information Desk. There are many showers on campus - see the link for details. |
...a digital video camera kit?You can borrow cameras, tripods and various other creative media equipment from the Level 1 Desk. You can book the equipment through the myRooms and Resources link in MUSE. You can also use the facility to book the Creative Media Room, a comfortable and well-equipped space for creating and producing digital media. |
