...I can't find a book that STAR says is available?First, check the recently returned shelves. These are situated at the beginning of the book sequence on each level. The books are sorted into rough shelfmark order and the shelves labelled accordingly. If the book isn't there, someone may be using it in the IC and you can request it online through STAR. We will email you when we find it, or when another copy becomes available. |
...I'm ill and can't return a book?First, try to renew it through STAR or the renewal hotline (0114 22 27201). If the book has been requested by another borrower you won't be able to renew it yourself, but ring us during staffed hours and let us know there is a problem (0114 22 29999). |
...I lose a book?Let us know as soon as possible either by phone (0114 22 29999) or in person. Remember: books remain on your account (and are your responsibilty) until you return them, either over the counter or via self-service machines. |
