Sheffield law degree receives Indian Bar Council accreditation
The Sheffield Law School is pleased to report that its Law degree (LLB Hons) has been awarded accreditation by the Indian Bar Council.
The Sheffield Law School's origins go back to 1899 when a solicitor called Edward Bramley gave the first of a series of law lectures in what was to become the University of Sheffield´s School of Law.
Building upon past successes year after year, the Law School has developed an international reputation for excellence in research, for the expertise of its staff and the achievements of its graduates.
In the most recent Teaching Quality Assessment the Law School was awarded an 'Excellent' rating. In the recent Research Assessment Excercise 50% of the Law School's academic staff was classed as either 'World-leading' or 'Internationally Excellent' and the work of a further 35% was classed as 'Internationally Recognised' further underlining our solid reputation in law education and research.
