ICOSS - Home of the Social Sciences

The Interdisciplinary Centre of the Social Sciences (ICOSS) is a large scale dedicated facility for social science research.

ICOSS builds on the international reputation of the University of Sheffield to bring together the thirteen schools and departments of the Faculty of Social Sciences into an interdisciplinary forum for research and innovation.

Our objective is to foster creative dialogue between the faculty's departments in order to undertake high quality interdisciplinary research that can inform social policy and critical thinking in the social sciences.

We also aim to foster productive collaboration with colleagues beyond the Social Sciences including Health, Engineering and Environmental Science.
