Overview

The Academic Unit of Child Health on the Damer Street end of Sheffield Children's Hospital (SCH) is part of the wider Department of Human Metabolism.  The Unit comprises office space on C Floor with the General Office serving the needs of students in Phase 3a of the MBChB course.  There is easy access to the Children's Clinical Research Facility on D Floor and close working with the Hospital Research and Development Department to allow applied research in children and young people.  There is a well stocked child health library on F Floor with computer facilities and eduroam wi-fi access which forms part of the newly refurbished SCH Postgraduate Education Department.  The current Head of Unit is Professor Nick Bishop along with over 15 academic staff, research staff, students and research fellows.
