Who is it for?

This study day is suitable for first level registered nurses and health care assistants working in primary care settings.

What is it about?

This study day explores infection control from the perspective of primary care. The course will look as awareness of relevant legislation, prevention of healthcare-associated infection in primary and community care, audits and awareness of current decontamination issues in GP Practice.

How does it enhance practice?

Participants learn the principles of infection control and how to ensure that their own practices and practice settings meet the requirements for successful infection control.
