Women of Steel
A Celebration of Sheffield Women
March 7th, 6pm, Town Hall
The evening will focus on a screening of 'Women of Steel', an innovative short film produced by students from the University's School of English, which marks the contribution that women made in the Sheffield steel industry during World War II. The filming will be followed by a question and answer session with several of the women who appear in the film and students involved in the project. Colleagues will then enjoy a pie and pea supper, with the opportunity to network.
This event is being hosted jointly with Sheffield City Council. Some tickets for this event will be made available to University staff - please register your interest via the form below. Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
