    New History Matters Blog brings research to life

    In December, as the media shrieked about the impending Maya apocalypse, the History Department defied the end of the world and injected a note of sanity into proceedings by launching their new History Matters blog with a series of articles on apocalypticism. A collective blog, written by Sheffield historians (staff, students, alumni and friends), History Matters features cutting-edge research and the history behind the headlines, and shows why history really matters.
