Attendance
The Department expects you to attend seminars and other teaching classes. A full-time student is required under the General Regulations (General Regulations 39 and 40) to attend throughout the whole of each semester. The timetable for lectures and arrangements for all tutorials will be specified at an initial meeting, which you are required to attend. Tutors will record attendances, and in the event of two unexplained absences will pass this information to the Undergraduate Committee for possible disciplinary action.
| Level One |
Level One modules have two lectures per week EXCEPT HST112 which has three. In addition, there will be regular seminars for each module; you will be advised how to sign-up for seminars during Intro Week.. There will be a reading week in each semester. In semester 1 it falls in Week 7 (7-11 November 2011) and in semester 2 it falls in Week 12 (14-18 May 2012).
| Level Two |
In the event of two unexplained absences tutors will pass this information to the Level 2 Tutor, Dr Amanda Power, for possible disciplinary action.
HST202 Historians and History has one lecture a week and one (compulsory) seminar class a week. For other options, the timetable will show lecture and seminar slots. In most cases you will find that you need to attend one lecture and one seminar a week (of which the seminar is compulsory).
