Graduation July 2013 - Data Protection
Unless we are advised otherwise, the names of all graduates* will appear in the printed Programme for the Ceremony. If you are a graduate and do not wish your name to appear in the Programme, you should inform the Events Team no later than Friday 5 April 2013. Please email graduation@sheffield.ac.uk giving your full name, student registration number and award title and clearly confirm that you wish to be removed from this publication.
An electronic copy of the graduation programme will be available to download and view from our 'live streaming' web pages.
There will be a professional video recording taken of each graduation ceremony which will be available for purchase on DVD after the ceremony. Graduates and guests seated in Convocation Hall should be aware that they might appear on this recording. Candidates and guests should also be aware that the ceremonies will be streamed live over the internet.
During the day professional photographers will be taking photographs and these may be used in the university's future promotional literature. If you do not wish your photograph to be used for such purposes, please inform the photographer on the day.
Please note that during the graduation ceremony a high definition photograph will be taken which will appear on the University's website and related social media sites. You may be identifiable in this, and at the ceremony you will be given the option of having your face hidden. You can request that your face is hidden by speaking to either the photographer or the representative from CiCS on the day.
*Occasionally, we may be advised that a student has completed their studies after the programme has already gone to print and their name will therefore not be included in the programme.
