Biography

Sascha's original background is in physics and environmental physics. After studying in Germany and Switzerland he became a consultant in the group for Groundwater Protection and Waste Disposal at Colenco Power Eng. in Switzerland. In 2001 he moved to the University of Sheffield as a research fellow for numerical modelling with the GPRG before moving back to Switzerland to join the Soil Protection Group, at the Institute of Terrestrial Ecology (ITÖ), ETH Zurich. Since 2004 Sascha has worked on natural attenuation modelling and imaging experiments in the department of Hydrogeology at the Environmental Research Centre UFZ, Leipzig-Halle, Germany.
