MA Course Programme
The MA in Germanic Studies (Research Track) involves:
- 2 Core Modules on research methodology: 30 credits (2 x 15)
- 1 Core Module providing dissertation support: 15 credits
- 1 Optional Module dealing with approaches to aspects of Germanic Studies (= Main Content Module): 30 credits
- 1 Optional Module providing dissertation-orientated directed reading (= Directed Reading Module); alternatively, an Optional Module offered by a cognate department (= External Module), selected for its relevance to the student’s dissertation topic and negotiated with the Department of Germanic Studies and the department offering the module: 15 credits
This provides a total for the Master’s degree of 180 credits.
