Land-use Decision-making and Landscape Degradation: a Case study in the American Southwest
Supervisors: Professor Tony Parsons, Professor John Wainwright and Dr Christina Prell
I got my first BA degree in Chinese linguistics and literature from University of Heilongjiang, PR China. I got my second BA degree in Environmental Management & Environmental Science, University of Leeds.
After I finished my second year, I did a one-year industrial placement with Environment Agency in the Water Resources Planning team. The aim of my research is to improve the understanding of how people's land-use decision-making influences land degradation, and how the landscape degradation in turn influences people with emphasis on the contemporary land-use in the dryland of South New Mexico.
