David Maddison is responsible for the the Field Equipment Store (B3). The Equipment Store comprises numerous items ranging from augers, spades, tape measures to cassette recorders, laptop computers and data loggers. He is responsible for the borrowing and general upkeep of the equipment. On leaving school David Maddison worked at a film processing and printing firm for 18 months and studied photography at night school. David joined the Photographic Unit in the Department in 1970 and carried on at college studying a technical photography course for 5 years. In 1996 he took over responsibility of the Field Equipment Store.

David's interests are mainly music, local history and renovating his house and garden.
