Ben has a BSc in Engineering Physics from Sheffield Hallam University, where he gained skills in measurement and instrumentation, electronics and mathematical modelling. He has varied industrial experience including instrumentation and control, commercial software development, environmental monitoring and electrical installation. He has worked on projects in physics research and in the aerospace and steel industries.
Ben is a qualified electrician and is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
Responsibilities |
Ben Kitchener is a research technician working on a NERC-funded project which is examining the dynamics of overland flow and soil erosion. His key responsibilities are for the development of electronic instrumentation and software, experiment design and data capture. |
