Entry requirements for our undergraduate courses
Our typical entry requirements are listed under "Degree courses and requirements for entry" (see left). Generally, we require three subjects at GCE/VCE A Level or equivalent, usually including Geography.

English language minimum requirements
All students wishing to study at the University of Sheffield must show that their English language is at a level which allows them to successfully complete their chosen course of study.
Typical minimum requirements are IELTS (International English Language Testing Service): an average of 7.0 or above with at least 6.5 in each component; TOEFL Paper-Based 600 or TOEFL Computer-Based 250.
