Freedom to explore

We offer courses in Human Geography, Physical Geography and a dual honours degree in Geography and Planning. All of these courses encourage exploration, that’s why here at Sheffield we offer a highly flexible and customisable programme of study.

These courses give you a strong base of knowledge in your chosen field, you will also be able to choose modules from either physical or human geography, regardless of which degree you undertake. This allows you to craft the course to suit your own interests, ensuring you are not constrained by your degree choice.

By structuring our courses this way our students benefit from an integrated research and learning environment, allowing the highly regarded work of our academics to filter through to every aspect of the department.

All our courses offer you the opportunity to take a placement year, making your degree a Degree with Employment Experience (DEE). You can also study away from Sheffield with our Study Abroad and Erasmus programmes.
