Taught Masters: How to apply

Applicants should send formal applications to us no later than 30 March (ESRC funding) or 1 August for a self-funded one-year MA. Early enquiries are particularly welcome.
If you intend to apply for an MA as the first year of a 1+3 PhD you should specify a provisional PhD topic in your application, together with the name of a member of our staff who might be an appropriate supervisor:

In most cases applicants will be invited to attend an Open Day and/or interview in February or March when they will have an opportunity to meet staff, postgraduate students and explore the Department and its facilities.
Candidates who are unable to attend the Open Day will be invited to visit the Department independently for an interview and tour.
