Dr Marjorie Shaw Postgraduate Scholarships, 2011-2012 (£7,700 each)
We are delighted to announce two scholarships of £7,700 (£4,200 towards tuition fees and £3,500 towards maintenance costs) for entering Taught MA students at the Department of French, University of Sheffield in 2012-2013. These scholarships have been generously funded by a legacy from the late Dr Marjorie Shaw who was a lecturer in French for over 30 years.
All entering students (full time, part time, UK/EU, overseas) are eligible to apply; successful part-time students will receive their £7,700 scholarship over two years of study. Scholarships are not renewable beyond the end of academic year 2012-2013.
In order to be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have applied to study for a Taught MA at the Department of French by 4 pm on Friday 4th May 2012. In addition they must write to the Director of MA Programmes in French, Dr Wendy Michallat by Friday 4th May to indicate their wish to be considered for a scholarship.
