Dear Colleagues,

I am sure you will join the Faculty Director of Learning and Teaching and I in congratulating the following members of staff across the Faculty, who were given Senate Awards for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. Out of 12 awards, 5 went to staff in the Faculty.

Senate Award for Sustained Excellence:
Dr Terry Lamb (School of Education)
Dr Lorna Warren (Sociological Studies)

Early Career Senate Award:
Dr Andrew McGonigle (Geography)
Dr Tim Vorley (Management School)

Senate Award for Collaborative Activities:
Naomi Kent and Professor Matt Flinders (Sociological Studies & Politics)

In addition, we also want to congratulate the following student and staff who won the Student Union's Academic Awards for Excellence (nominated and voted for by students):
Philip Wells (Law) - Employability Award
Francesca Rowson (TRP) - Enterprise Award
Rachel Birds (Education) - Think Global Award for Internationalisation in Learning and Teaching

Both sets of awards are a mark of the excellent work in teaching and learning undertaken across our 13 departments and we can justly be proud of the achievements of our colleagues.
