The new Student Ambassadors for Learning and Teaching for 2012-13 had a Faculty Induction on 2 October 2012.
This year’s project is: What it means to be a (Sheffield) Social Sciences Graduate, a subject suggested by the discussion and debate that took place at the Staff-student Symposium in May (see below). This will be a cross-Faculty project where students engage with each other’s disciplines to find common themes with a view to informing and enhancing employability options for students.
Staff-Student Symposium 9 May 2012
This was organised and hosted by the Faculty SALTs. The event opened with a debate on the cohesiveness of the Faculty of Social Sciences and closed with a debate on employability in the Social Sciences. It also included updates on recent L&T project outcomes. Both staff and students fed back very positively on the day.
