Reception Area
A welcoming reception is located to the front of the CRF and is open between 08:00 and 17:00.

In addition, the reception area has 2 interview rooms ideally suited for:
- informed consent
- monitoring visits
- interviews
- questionnaire completion
- statistics and Protocol clinics
Hot Desking
Hot desk facilities are available to all researchers working within the unit. A comprehensive range of equipment is available for use including access to:
- computers
- network points for both the STHFT and the University
- the Internet
- email
- Printing and photocopying
- telephone and fax machine
Clinical Area
- out patient area – 3 consulting suites
- sub waiting area with television
- dedicated phlebotomy facilities
- treatment room – a spacious, multi-functional room capable of accommodating specialised equipment as well as investigators and participants
- 4 bedded bay – equipped with high specification bedside monitoring equipment
- 2 single bedrooms – also with bedside monitoring equipment, suitable for studies requiring a calm and private environment
- analytical lab with freezer storage, microfuge, centrifuge, sample processing plus refrigerator
- investigation suite – spacious room with en-suite facility, suitable for studies involving minor invasive procedures, radiopharmaceuticals and gene therapy
- -20 and -80 freezer storage facilities
Meeting Room
The facility’s meeting room seats up to 15 and is available to all researchers throughout the STHFT and the University. The room is fully equipped with:
- overhead projector
- laptop
- internet access
- all rooms within the facility have access to a computer.
Research Kitchen
A dedicated space is available for the conduct of research related to dietary and nutritional intake.
