Our Sites and Facilities

The NIHR Sheffield Clinical Research Facility is split across the city and has a site at both the Northern General Hospital and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Royal Hallamshire Hospital Site

The Royal Hallamshire Hospital site is located on O floor and welcomed the first of its research participants in October 2006. This site is continuing to expand the support if offers to clinical researchers and ensures that its work is of the highest possible standard.

Northern General Hospital Site

The Northern General Hospital site is located on the Barnsley Road entrance in the Centre for Biomedical Research. It opened its doors to the first of its research participants in October 2009. The Northern General Hospital site in addition to providing generic space for clinical research accommodates specific clinical areas to support the two Biomedical Research Units in Bone and Cardiovascular Disease.
