Welcome to the Events Team website
Throughout the course of the year the University hosts a number of events. Many of these are organised and hosted by the Events Team.
The Events Team are responsible for:
• Organising Undergraduate and Higher degree awards ceremonies both in Sheffield and Overseas
• Organising the ongoing University lecture series
• Liaising between the University and Civic Offices regarding its involvement in legal and civic issues
• Organising events which are predominantly of a corporate nature appealing to internal and external audiences. Their purposes may include:
- Cultivating potential clients and partners
- Keeping University stakeholders and friends engaged and supportive
- Influencing and informing opinion leaders
- Publicising major new facilities
- Building bridges with city and communities
- Cultivating alumni and other potential donors
- Influencing and informing opinion leaders
As well as organising events, we are here to offer advice on how to plan and execute a successful event. The Team can point you in the direction of specialist skills and the facilities you may need.
