Tickets for your ceremony will be posted. If you will not be in the UK at this time, please state this on your form when you register so tickets can be held for collection
On the day of your Ceremony
Before you leave home, ensure you have your tickets and your robe order confirmation number.
Check with the Highways Agency www.highways.gov.uk/ for advice regarding traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads, prior to setting off.
Plan to arrive at the University at least 90 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony
Collect your robes at the time specified. The robing timetable and venue will be uploaded on the following web page in due course: www.shef.ac.uk/eventsteam/dress.html
Get official photographs taken, if desired (either before or after your ceremony)
Doors to graduands only will be opened 45 minutes prior to the start time of the ceremony
Graduands must be robed and in their designated seat in the hall 40 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony
Doors to guests will be opened approximately 30 minutes prior to the start time of the ceremony, or as soon as possible once all graduands are seated
Guests must be seated in their allocated seats in the hall 20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony
Doors to the hall will be closed 10 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Graduands and guests not seated by this time will not be admitted
