OpenStage: Theatre by Students, For Students

  • Are you interested in plays and the theatre?
  • Do you want the chance to develop your theatre knowledge and performance skills in an informal, creative and inclusive environment?
  • Would you enjoy working in the studio with a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate students?
  • Would you like the opportunity to deliver the play or plays you develop to a range of audiences, including A Level students and members of the general public, as well as within the university?

To get involved, come to the initial OpenStage meeting:
  • on Wednesday 20th February, 6:00-8:00pm
  • at The Hawley
Throughout the project there will be input from people with a background in theatre production and a chance for you to experiment with new ideas and a range of texts. Everyone will have the opportunity to meet new people, share ideas, take part and contribute positively. Workshop sessions will be fun, engaging, innovative and group-directed; and so will our performances!
