Dr. BikeOnce you’ve got your bike it’s important to keep it well maintained. If you’ve been cycling for a while you can probably do most things yourself but if you need some extra help and advice we’ve teamed up with Pedal Ready to provide Dr. Bike sessions every two weeks. You can drop your bike off on the concourse for a free check up and minor repairs. You will also be advised if your bike needs some more serious attention and what you need to tell a bike shop when you take it in for repairs. University Cycle Forum The University Cycle Forum was set up to enable cyclists to give feedback, and input into future priorities. It is represented on the Council cycle forum, helps organise group ride and can offer additional advice on cycling. Finding your way The University works with Sheffield City Council to improve routes and signage for cyclists and we have produced the university cycle map. You can get your copy from EFM Helpdesk, the Students' Union and many Porters Lodges. Alternatively contact the Travel Planner who’ll be happy to send you one. ReCycle! Do have a bike in your shed or garage that you don’t use any more? We work in partnership with ReCycle Bikes at Heeley Development Trust who will take old bikes, recondition them and sell these bikes on to students. Poolbike The Environment Team have a folding pool bike available for staff to borrow and in future we could have more around the campus. If you would like to give it a go get in touch. Want to know more? For more information on what the University is doing to support cycling email energy@shef.ac.uk or telephone (22)29056. |

Cycling is a good way to help you keep fit and can be quicker than travelling by car in congested conditions.
