FYGER project

Our teaching is by lectures, problem classes, tutorials, laboratory classes, computing, design and project work.

Project work is an important aspect of the course. Team and individual projects will take place at various stages throughout your studies and involve the analysis, design and construction of a variety of electronic and electrical systems.

For example, our pioneering Sheffield Industrial Project Scheme (SHIPS) gives 2nd Year students the chance to work on real industrial problems in small teams. In 3rd Year you carry out an individual project, which can involve investigations at the forefront of current research. M.Eng. students undertake a group project in 4th Year which is usually linked to another industrial problem.
