ERASMUS Programme
The SOCRATES Office in Brussels supports an ERASMUS (EuRopean Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) programme to enable students registered in this Department for the M.Eng. degrees with a Foreign Language to spend one complete academic year abroad studying Electronic and Electrical Engineering in another selected EU member state. Undergraduates finishing year 2 are eligible to be selected for an ERASMUS exchange starting in the following academic year.
During their year overseas, UK students continue to be paid maintenance by their LEA. In most cases, accommodation can be arranged by the host institution. The cost of student travel is met by the UK ERASMUS Student Grants Council.
Institutions involved:
- France: Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon
- Germany: Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Technische Universität Dresden
- Spain: Universidad Politéchnica de Valencia
