 Career Opportunities

Two people inspecting a computer boardMany of the essential items we use on a daily basis are either powered by electricity or are made possible through the creative use of electricity. Electricity is now so vital to modern living that power outages make the headlines around the world. The diversity of industries supported by electricity provides a plethora of employment opportunities from the small-scale consumer electronic devices (such as mobile phone), passed automotive sector and medical systems, all the way to airliners and ocean tankers. All of these consume electricity during their design, manufacture, use and disposal.

Our graduates work in all of the sectors described above and many more. Their average starting salary is £25k and within a few years they are C.Eng. qualified and manage their own projects. Others choose to set up their own businesses. Although many of our graduate choose to pursue a career in engineering some choose a different path such as teaching or finance.
