Course Accreditation
In order to meet the educational requirements for ultimately becoming a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng), you will need to complete either an accredited four year M.Eng degree or an accredited three year B.Eng (Honours) degree followed by "approved" further learning that brings your educational attainment to masters level.
In common with all other UK university engineering departments that provide accredited courses, our courses must satisfy the learning outcomes defined by the Engineering Council in UK-SPEC and interpreted for electronic and electrical engineering by our institution, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
All of our courses satisfy the M.Eng and the B.Eng (Hons) standards for Chartered Engineer qualification. We have of course been providing a full range of accredited M.Eng and B.Eng courses for many years but we have taken the opportunity of the new UK-SPEC requirements to improve and add further flexibility to the content and structure of our courses.
