Research Our research profile is spread across four interrelated groups and covers a wide spectrum of activities including electrical machines for hybrid vehicles, actuators for aerospace, surveillance electronics and stealthy materials.

Industrial collaboration The Department has excellent links with industry which provides focus to our teaching and research. We have formal relationships with a number of international companies. Many of our collaborators offer internship and sandwich course opportunities.
