The EdD in Literacy and Language Programme Team

The EdD is directed by Dr Christine Winter and the Literacy and Language named route is directed by Dr Julia Davies.

Core members of the literacy and language Ed D team include Dr. Kate Pahl and Professor Jackie Marsh. All have established international reputations in their respective areas. In addition to the core team, other members of the department contribute to the weekend schools and also act as research supervisors. At each weekend school there is at least one guest lecture, thus students get the opportunity to meet and discuss educational issues with a wide range of experts. Recent speakers in the field of literacy include Professor Brian Street, Kings College London, and Dr Carey Jewitt, Insitute of Education, London.
