The University of Sheffield
BA Education, Culture and Childhood

University Open Days

Anyone who receives an offer of a place to study on the BA in Education, Culture and Childhood will be invited to a School of Education Open Day. In helping you to decide which course, and which University, is best for you, Open Days can be invaluable. You’ll be given detailed information about the course, and will have plenty of opportunity to chat to staff and current students.

Tours of the student accommodation are optional, but if you haven’t seen the accommodation already we recommend you take a tour – Sheffield has the best student accommodation in the country. There will also be an exhibition where you’ll have chance to talk to staff from almost all our student services, from Careers to Financial Support.

Our Open Days in 2013 are on February 14th, March 8th and April 12th. You can book a place online at: www.shef.ac.uk/visit/app/offer?type=EDU.

Information Commons

The School of Education is located at the heart of the Sheffield University campus, close to the award-winning Information Commons and Students´ Union. Candidates attending an open day will not only have an opportunity to view their learning environment, but also to meet and chat with staff and current students from across the School.

The University also holds general Open Days, where there are exhibition stands, talks and tours of the University, so you can find out more about Sheffield and the region.
