Books
What is interesting about this photograph of books, destined for charity, is that you can see that they have been read. Their covers have been partially torn and bent, the pages dirtied; yet of course the contents remain exactly the same as ones bought new. But that they have been handled, touched by another and ejected by them devalues them.
But there worn nature can also be a great positive, it shows that they have been read, that the owner does not just buy them 'for show' but is someone for whom reading and knowledge is important.
