Research Success at International Association for Dental Research

The School of Clinical Dentistry has once again been recognised for its research, this time by the International Association for Dental Research at the recent 87th General session in Miami, Florida. Suttipalin Suwannakul a PhD student in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology was runner-up in the prestigious Unilever Hatton awards for her work entitled 'Subtypes of Porphyromonas gingivalis that differ in epithelial cell invasion' (supervised by Ian Douglas , Graham Stafford and Simon Whawell). The competition was fierce amongst the 42 entrants from all over the world and was announced in front of over 5000 delegates at the opening ceremony.
