Two Senior Lecturer/Lecturer posts available in areas relating to the Virtual Physiological Human

The INSIGNEO Institute on Biomedical Imaging and Modelling is a collaborative initiative between the Faculty of Engineering (Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science) and the Faculty of Medicine (Departments of Cardiovascular Sciences and Human Metabolism) at the University of Sheffield and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust in collaboration with Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona. Together, the partners of INSIGNEO will make a significant contribution to the field of personalised model-based medicine through world-leading and translational research.

Applications are invited for two positions within the Department of Computer Science. These posts are open to outstanding individuals with a research track record in areas relating to the Virtual Physiological
Human (VPH) for appointment at the Lecturer / Senior Lecturer level. We are particularly interested in candidates in the following areas: Computational Imaging and Sensing (modelling and simulation of procedures and devices or computer aided diagnosis) and Biomedical Information Management (knowledge management or personal health systems).

Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Computer Science (2 posts) (see Ref: UOS004241)

The appointed candidates will have a track record of internationally leading research, with demonstrated ability to attract substantial research funding. Ideally, the appointed candidates will be a member of the VPH community, with a track record of engagement in VPH projects and funding.
