Noel Sharkey’s controversial views about AI are featured in the New Scientist

This week's New Scientist magazine (published 29th August 2009) ran a two-page feature on Noel Sharkey's controversial views about the nature of artificial intelligence.

The author, Nic Fleming, writes that "Robotics expert Noel Sharkey used to be a believer in artificial intelligence. So why does he now think that AI is a dangerous myth that could lead to a dystopian future of unintelligent, unfeeling robot carers and soldiers?"
