New Scientist reports founding of ICRAC with Noel Sharkey

A new International Committee for Robot Arms Control (ICRAC) was founded last week after two days of intense meetings in Sheffield with Professor Noel Sharkey.

Speaking to New Scientist on 30th September, Sharkey said that "We seem to be rushing headlong into the development of autonomous weapons systems without any real concern for the long-term impact on civilian populations."

The other founding members of ICRAC are Juergen Altmann (Dortmund University, Germany), Robert Sparrow (Monash University, Australia) and Peter Asaro (Columbia Univesity, USA).
