Emma Westling

Emma is a Marie Curie Early Stage Training Fellow studying for a PhD within the Catchment Science Centre. She is part of the CatSci group working on the integrated study of the River Don catchment.
Emma studied for her first degree in Informatics at Växjö University. For her thesis she developed a model to evaluate software products to integrate systems.
Emma then went on to the University of Lund, Sweden where she studied for a MSc in International Environmental Sciences. Her Masters project entitled "Cooperation – a possibility or a barrier on the path to sustainable water management?" explored the role of cooperation in the Water Framework Directive from a local perspective.
Emma´s principle research interests are in modelling and socio-economic aspects of the water catchment.
